Elmofed learning platform

Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Elmofed collects, uses, shares, and protects student and parent information when you use our website, mobile app, and related learning services.

Effective and last updated: September 7, 2026

Who we are and where this policy applies

Elmofed is a digital learning service for secondary students and their parents. This policy applies to elmoofed.com, the Elmofed mobile app, student and parent dashboards, messages, assessments, and purchases connected to the service.

Information we collect

  • Account details, including name, phone number, encrypted password or access codes, grade, and information about a linked parent account.
  • Learning activity, including enrolled and unlocked lessons, video position and watch time, completion percentage and watched ranges, quiz answers and scores, written-answer reviews, attendance, points, streaks, and ranking.
  • Transaction details, including requested lessons, amount, payment method, invoice or transaction reference, payment status, wallet activity, and transfer-receipt images you upload.
  • Support and communication data, including messages, attachments, and questions sent to a teacher or support team.
  • Technical information needed to operate and secure the service, such as session and device identifiers, notification tokens, device and operating-system type, network address, and error and usage logs.

How we use information

  • Create accounts, verify identity, sign users in, and prevent duplicate registration or unauthorized use.
  • Show grade-appropriate content, resume videos, calculate completion, unlock later lessons, grade assessments, and display results.
  • Process purchases, verify payment, add wallet credit or lesson access, and administer eligible refunds.
  • Send service, lesson, assessment, and message notifications and respond to support requests.
  • Protect the platform, prevent fraud and abuse, diagnose failures, and improve performance and learning experience.

Video playback and learning progress

Some lessons play through an embedded YouTube player. When a video plays, YouTube may receive technical information under Google/YouTube policies. Elmofed stores playback position, time, percentage, and watched ranges so the app can resume a lesson, calculate completion, and unlock later content.

We use app and device controls to limit screen recording and copying. No technical method can completely prevent filming with another device or extraction on a device controlled by the user.

Payments and receipts

Electronic payments may be processed by Fawaterak or another method shown at checkout. Card or payment credentials are entered on the payment provider's page; Elmofed does not store complete card details. We retain transaction data needed to administer the purchase, such as invoice identifier, amount, payment status, and transaction reference.

If you upload a manual transfer receipt, the file is stored for review and linked to your purchase request. Do not upload information that is unnecessary for the transaction.

Service providers and third parties

We use providers to operate the service, including Supabase for authentication and data storage, Google Firebase for notifications, YouTube for video playback, Fawaterak for payment processing, and hosting and media-storage providers. Each provider receives information needed to perform its service and processes it under its own terms and privacy policy.

How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with the providers listed above; with authorized teachers and staff who administer learning, support, and payments; when required by law; or to protect users, the platform, and against fraud. A parent linked to a student's account may see educational and transaction information made available in the parent dashboard.

Retention and security

We keep information while an account is active and afterward for as long as needed to provide the service, resolve payments and disputes, protect the platform, and meet legal and accounting duties. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed, although financial or security records may be retained where law or a legitimate need requires it.

We use access controls, authentication, encrypted connections, and reasonable operational safeguards. No electronic service can guarantee absolute security. Keep passwords and access codes confidential and notify us immediately if you suspect account misuse.

Your rights and account deletion

Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access or correct your information, delete your account and associated data, or object to certain processing. Send the request using the contact information below and include the registered phone number. We will verify identity and respond within a reasonable period, explaining any records that must be retained by law.

You can disable notifications in device settings. Deleting an account may permanently remove access to lessons, history, wallet balance, and account benefits.

Students under the age of majority

The service supports secondary education and may be used by people below the legal age of majority. Where required by law, an account and any purchase must be created with a parent or guardian's consent and supervision. A parent or guardian may contact us to correct or delete a minor student's information.

Cookies and local storage

The website and app use cookies, local storage, and session tokens needed to sign users in, remember language and settings, track install state, and operate core features. Parts of the service may not work when these necessary technologies are disabled.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the service or legal requirements change. The revised version will appear here with a new update date, and we may display an in-service notice for material changes. Continued use after the effective date means you have had an opportunity to review the revised policy.
